Buffy stared at the tall slim woman.

“Don’t worry, Pet. She doesn’t bite.”

“Well, she might if she thinks you are food.”

Both of the women glared at him.

“Now Big Blue, don’t be offended. Just a joke to ease the moment.”

“You called her your Pet. I am offended by the idea of it.”

Buffy raised an eyebrow questioningly at Spike.

“Just a term of affection, Blue.”

Illyria gazed at the tiny blond with new interest.

Could this small human be another pawn to play with or Spike’s Queen?

The Demon God preferred the former. The latter displeased her.

Not having read the comics, I have no clue what happened when Illyria met Buffy. So I just went for what it might have been like. I do think Illyria feels like Spike is hers so she might not like another woman getting close to him.
