Candle light.  It flickers and bends the shadows around them.

This place. This moment. It’s frozen and hidden.

While they are here, nothing else matters.

Just the sounds their bodies make.

The soft moans fill the room. The slap of flesh on flesh.

Outside is the world. A cruel world where other demands call.

Here it is just them. No danger, no anger, just sensations.

In the flickering candle light, they are beyond the petty needs of the world.

Here they exist just for each other.

The wax melts down, but the desire doesn’t.  

The desire burns them brightly.
