I just watched the two night crossover on CW for their DC shows.  It was amazing. I really enjoyed it.  It was much better than the one from last year.  I can't wait to see how this will affect the different series the rest of the year. And Russel Tovey is a favorite actor of mine. I loved him since Being Human. It was a surprise to see him in Crisis on Earth-X. I hope his character is added to The Legends of Tomorrow. A girl can hope.

My freind and I went to see Justice Leage today.  I enjoyed it as well.  I still don't care for Ben Affleck as Batman or Henry Cavill as Superman.  I love Amy Adams, but Lois with red hair still bugs me.  Lana Lang had red hair in the comics while Lois had dark hair.

I love almost anything that is Science Fiction or Fantasy.
Below are the new and returning shows for 2014.

I have high hopes for the show in the photo below. It's Bitten which is based
on a line of books by Kelley Armstrong.  Bitten is in a series called Women of the Otherworld.
I've read the books and really enjoyed all of them. Laura Vandervoort plays Elena,
the lead character.  I do like her as the lead.  Some of the other characters seem
mis-casted to me.

So what will my flist watch?  Lots of different styles so there should be
something for most everyone.

Seems writers can't figure out how to do something new.
Ironside died a quick death.  Now they are talking a reboot
of Murder She Wrote and Ghost.  Not interested in either of
those.

I read that Tales From The Darkside might be happening.
This I could understand and watch. But only if the stories
are new and not a rehash of the older series.

I would enjoy it because I hate reality TV shows.  I like anthology
series and love them if they use a wide group of actors and writers.
Reality shows often give us ordinary people that end up famous
for just being on these.  Or they use less talented actors who can
not get a real series.  I grew up on The Twilight Zone and Outer
Limits.  Some famous actors were on those shows as well as
some very talented new comers.  Actors are losing jobs to Reality
nobodies.

American Horror Story is doing well. This season is the best so
far.  So I think rebooting The Darkside might be good.

- Bold all of the following TV shows of which you've watched 3 or more episodes.
- Italicize a show if you're positive you've seen every episode.
- Asterisk * if you have at least one full season on tape or DVD
- If you want, add up to 3 additional shows (keep the list in alphabetical order).

I've watched a lot of TV in my life.... )

You know you are old when the songs from
your teen years are being used for TV shows.

And people are amazed how good they are
since they weren't even born when it came out.

The cut was being all wonky so I trying to do it with code. )

David Boreazaz is going to do a Wizard World con in Philadelphia.
Hmm....wonder if he is doing cons again because Bones might be ending.
Sarah Michelle Gellar did The Paley Center reunion just before she
began shopping around for a pilot for TV.  David and Sarah hadn't done
any fan style cons for a long time.  Maybe David is shopping around for
a new series like Sarah did.

Did they kill off Jeremy on Vampire Diaries to set  in motion a change in
Elena's character?  Joss killed off Joyce to push Buffy into a more adult role.
I had mused that with the Originals getting a spinoff, could Silas be
the Big Bad replacing Klaus.  Bonnie is related to the witch who trapped
Silas. Will Silas and Bonnie be the next Klaus/Caroline? Will Elena go
after Katherine to take the cure to bring Jeremy back to life?

I'm really enjoying Arrow.  I was amused to read about how Felicity
Smoak will join the Scooby Gang.  I don't really think that Oliver and Diggs
are a Scooby Gang, but love that a bit of Buffy slang is being used.

I watch a lot of TV.  Some series are just good empty minded fun.
The Following is not empty minded in any way. It grabs you and
pulls you into it.  I love mysteries where you never know who is
on the up and up and who is playing you. The Following is one of
the best series I've seen in years. Dark and scary.  It has an amazing
cast and is very well written. If you haven't watched it, give it a try.

The world has turned upside down.  DW is down and LJ is working....for now.

Got a message that LJ extended our paid accounts for a month cause they had
problems at the beginning of Jan.

Other than that, it's freaking cold here were I live.  Again we might have issues
on Wed night with the weather.  So [livejournal.com profile] edenskye may or may not be out for our
weekly TV viewing.  We spend one day a week just watching DVRed TV and
chilling out.  We need that day to recover from our jobs.  Last time this happened,
it was the day we were going to have our Christmas.  I was bummed out for the next
whole week.  I need my Tommy fix and will be very grim if the weather keeps him
from coming over.

We were going to watch James on Wedding Band.  I've watched it and it was pretty
good. Loved hearing James giggling laugh. Plus James in rockstar clothes.  Leather
pants and then no pants.  LOL!

Ran across this on tvguide.com.
James cancelled his Austin Con this year.
Last time he cancelled Dragon*Con, it was
so he could film in Hawaii for Hawaii Five-O.

I'm looking forward to Danny's flashback episode on Hawaii Five-0.
Are any other characters getting flashbacks? — Terri

ADAM:
As a matter of fact, yes! Executive producer Peter Lenkov tells us
that there will be a McGarrett flashback late in the season that is actually
a direct prequel to the pilot. "The flashbacks take place hours before the
pilot began in Korea," Lenkov says. "You'll get to see McGarrett in training
as a Navy SEAL. The idea is that McGarrett had actually gone into North
Korea with another Navy SEAL, a man who saved his life and was killed
there." So will we see familiar faces as well? "We're hoping to bring back
one of the Hesse brothers," Lenkov says. "We'll see what actually happened
with Hesse in Korea."

Keeping fingers crossed that James will be back on Hawaii Five-O.

Tommy and I went last weekend to the Dallas version of Comic Con.
It's much smaller scale than either Comic Con or Dragon*Con, but
I enjoyed it.  Less walking and a single building instead of several
hotels like Dragon*Con.  Plus you wait outside in a parking garage
instead of the hot sun.

Cut for a large photo and rambling... )

100 Things Meme #28

I love to read about back stage stuff. Taran Killam works on SNL and he just
married Cobie Smulders who is on  How I Met Your Mother and was in The
Avengers.
So here are two videos and an interview with Taran who
talks about Joss Whedon and his different shows.

Taran Killam has had a busy few days. Over the weekend, he married
his longtime girlfriend Cobie Smulders, just before heading back to
work on the new season of Saturday Night Live. Vulture ran into him
at the premiere party for Liberal Arts, the new movie from Smulders's
How I Met Your Mother co-star Josh Radnor, and Killam filled us in on
12 Years a Slave, his magical Robyn tribute, and how he's hoping to
work with Joss Whedon .

I love Fringe.  This will be it's last season.
And they mention Firefly and Fox.

Michael Ausiello is such a fanboy.

Revolution is a new show that I'm interested to see.

Do not watch this video at work or around anyone that might
be offended by this. I feel sorry for this poor reporter.  This video
might haunt her the rest of her career.

100 Things Meme #5

I had planned to do these twice a week, but this video
shoved itself in early.  I adore Nathan Fillion.  He is in
person just like he appears on TV.

[livejournal.com profile] edenskye and I had a close encounter with Nathan
and Alan Tudyk at Dragon*Con the first year we got to go.
I saw Nathan coming toward us.  I tried to alert Tommy.
As Tommy twisted around to see Nathan,  Alan bumped
right  into [livejournal.com profile] edenskye .  It was quite funny.

Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Drinklage has the best lines.

James Marsters talks about how the Jester was the only person in court who could tell the truth and get
away with it.  I know Tyrion isn't the Jester, but still he says the truth when others are afraid.  Sadly, Tyrion
gets treated with very little respect.  He was a better Hand than any other so far in the series.  Tyrion is my
favorite character in Game Of Thrones.

Six of my favorite new shows have been canceled.
This past year I juggled so many shows on my DVR.
Guess the list will be much lighter now.

Canceled shows:
Alcatraz (Fox)
Awake (NBC)
Missing (ABC)
The Secret Circle (CW)
Terra Nova (Fox)

And I'm not surprised that Ringer(CW) was canceled as well.

At least these are coming back in June. )

This is me right now.

You ask why.

Cause Fringe got renewed for a fifth season of thirteen episodes!
kuda: (Default)
Digital Spy caught up with the stars of the show to discuss their most
memorable moments from the show's first run...

In our video below, Emilia Clarke
(Daenerys) talks about the season finale,
Nikolai Coster-Waldau
(Jaime Lannister) casts his mind back to the first time
he walked onto the epic throne room set and Harry Lloyd
(Viserys) tells us how
it felt to experience death by molten gold!

Plus, there's more scoop from Alfie Allen
(Theon Greyjoy) , Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister),
Michelle Fairley(Catelyn Stark) and new cast addition Liam Cunningham.

Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season is available on DVD and Blu-Ray from
Monday, March 5.

Emilia Clarke looks so different without her Dany blonde wig.

A new trailer for Season Two of Game Of Thrones!

Love the music they used. It's Florence + The Machine "Seven Devils."

Look at Arya in disguise!
