What I did on Wed.
Jul. 31st, 2008 10:14 amTommy and I went to see The Dark Knight. I had been worried about seeing this movie. I have a difficult time watching movies where one of the actors dies shortly after filming. I have never seen the Crow because of Brandon Lee's death. I was afraid Ledger's death would over shadow his performance. It didn't. After a few moments I didn't even think about Heath, but only saw the character. It's the best performance of a villain in a Batman movie I have ever seen. I hated Jack Nickolson's Joker. Too campy for my tastes. Heath created the perfect Joker. The movie is about Bruce wanting to stop being Batman so he could have a life with the woman he loves. He thinks the new DA, Harvey Dent will be the hero of the people so Bruce can put away his Batman suit. Doesn't go as planned. This movie belongs the Heath. His performance was brilliant. He put so many tiny touches to the character that gave the Joker a personality.
Then we went to have pizza and for the second day in a role I ate things which were very bad for me. Too much grease and sugar. So for two days in a role I woke up in pain. Felt like someone had beaten me. Ache all over. I have never been the type to drink or do drugs. Too much sugar leaves me in pain. How do people deal with hangovers? I feel like crap because I had cake two days in a role. Hypoglycemia is one of those conditions that many doctors and others refuse to believe exist. My family has seen it's effect on me. They believe. A glass of wine knocks me out. Fasting for blood worked drains me for a couple of days. Unlike being an alcoholic or a drug addict, who can avoid the substance, you have to eat. It's not just sugar you have to avoid. White flour, raisins, bananas, corn, and so many other foods can cause the same effect as a chocolate bar. My life has never been simple.
