Writer's Block: A Posthumous Oscar for Joker?

[Error: unknown template qotd] We don't know what other actors he would be up against for an Oscar, but I will say his performance was amazing.  It was, in my opinion, the best work he has ever done.  Just by judging his performance alone, yes, he should win an Oscar for this role.

Texas Lingo

 I was born and grew up in a small Texas town.  The only person I ever knew who wasn't a Texan was an uncle who married into the family. He was from New York and Italian.  He adored us and loved to hear us talk.  We just thought his accent was funny.  I never knew I had an accent or used phrases that might not be common in other parts of the world till I moved to Germany when I was twenty five.  Suddenly, I realized how different people were.  It was a life changing moment for me. Here are some of the phrases or words I grew up hearing that might sound a bit odd to those who aren't from either Texas or even the South.
