Writer's Block: Eat Your Vegetables

[Error: unknown template qotd]My mom loved Blackeyed Peas.  I hated the taste.  She always wanted us to try them which I did. I thought they tasted like dirt. Where we live Blackeyed Peas are one of the things tradition says you have to eat them for good luck at New Year's. She would try to force me to eat at least one each year.
