Woke up to no TV

I woke up early this morning and our DVR set top box wasn't working.  Got this screen that says it is starting up, but nothing.

Checked the set top box in the living room and other bedroom. Nothing working there either.

Finally got through to Verizon Fios on the phone.  You know the drill. Say yes  or push one for yes sort of questions.

After all kinds of questions was told that service to all of Texas was down because of a storm that came through last night.

Seems some of their equipment got fried. So no TV service and no answer when it will be restored.

Our internet service is by the same company, but it is working fine. Thank goodness for that at least.

Otherwise, someone might get hurt. After all, this is Texas and we have guns.
