I don't friend easily.

Why? Why do people add you as a friend without even talking to you?
Once again I've been sent a notice that a stranger has friended me.

I always check out the profile before I add anyone. I want to know the
person has common interests or at least a common language.

Yes, someone who's journal is in Russian friended me today. Now I
have many friends who's first language isn't English. I have no problem
with that at all. It's when I can't read their journal and see things like
questionable photos or other things on their journals that I start questioning
why me.

If we share no common friends or communities, why would you even try to friend me?

I seem to have no phone service.  I'm hoping nothing bad is going on with it.
My son may have shut it off because he said he was looking into getting me
a new phone.  I'm on his plan so I am not sure what's the what.
