Coupons...bane of my retail existance
Jun. 19th, 2012 06:06 amA while back I posted about customers who purchased items with coupons
and then returned them. At that time we gave them back what they paid plus
the amount of the coupon. So the shelves were stripped of certain items
for real customers till the shelves could be restocked. Then when these
"special" customers returned massive amount of merchandise, we had
extra merchandise that ended up as backstock. Plus certain items couldn't
be returned to the shelves. Over the counter meds, food, and baby formula
often had to be destroyed or returned to the manufacturer due to safety concerns.
( New store coupon policy )
It started yesterday. I can't wait till one of these "special" customers tries to do a return. Hee!
