Hmmm....Biscuits or rolls
Sep. 18th, 2013 12:35 pmMy son is dating a girl from Louisiana.
She made "biscuits" last weekend.
Now I grew up with my grandmother and
mother making biscuits from scratch.
I never remember them using yeast for biscuits.
They used baking soda or buttermilk, but never
yeast.
I didn't want to question her so I waited till
she left. I commented to my son that what
she made I would call rolls not biscuits.
He disagreed. Said where she grew up
those were biscuits.
So maybe I'm wrong, but I think there
is a difference between rolls and biscuits.
So now I want opinions. Where you grew
up would you call them rolls or biscuits.
Now I don't want to hurt her feelings and
would never push this, but was curious.
