Robin Sachs RIP

Robin Sachs has passed away at age 61. 

He played the slippery, mercenary mage,  Ethan Rayne. He
was the arch enemy (and often lover in fan fiction)
of regular character Giles, played by Anthony Head.

The British star, who was born in London, is perhaps best known
for playing villainous character Ethan Rayne on the hit U.S. TV series.
He also appeared in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Tim Allen's
Galaxy Quest, as well as science fiction shows Babylon 5, Star Trek:
Voyager and Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Sachs additionally provided voices for several video games, including
Resident Evil: Damnation and Mass Effect 2.

Oh no :( How? He was too young.

I met the man and fell in love with how charming he was. So sad :(

I would have loved to have met him. He seemed to enjoy acting and created wonderful characters in so many different roles.

His death was all over facebook. Didn't say what he died from though.

Poor Giles won't have Ethan to torture him anymore.

Well, in fandom, no one stays dead. Ethan would pop up and cause chaos for sure if anyone would.

I only read it was a sudden death. Couldn't find anything about him being ill. He would have been 62 on Feb 5. He will be missed.

Duh... I've read the posts (not looking at the pics) and didn't know who he was. Now I know.

That's very sad - and way way too young. :(

That's two deaths in our fandom lately. Craig Axtell, Steve's partner and the official administrator of James Marsters - The Official Page, passed away as well. He was also in his early 60's. So sad.

Ah maybe that's why I got confused. This one is a second? I've read about the other from an RSS Feed from JR. Reading yours I wondered what he had to do with JM's homepage and that Steve was together with this actor. Blond moment....

I had never heard Craig's name before. I wouldn't be surprised if I had seen Craig and never knew who he was. James often has other people around him than Steve. I just knew who Steve was from talking to him a few times.
