Just realised that I forgot to answer the question - can I still blame JamesFog????
Driving - I learnt to drive when I was 19/20 .... in England we ususally learn at 17, but I lived in London and didn't see the point! Mum took me out for my first ever drive, round local roads (!) ... then I had 2 driving instructors. 1) Collin - nice guy, taught me to drive ... I failed my test. Went to a re-take, and the day before he phoned up and cancelled ... so I met 2) Burt - older brusque guy ... and failed the 2nd test. I then had 4 lessons with Burt and he taught me roadmanship. 1 lesson was just spent going round a roundabout - a 7 exit one! - 3 of which were dual carriageways - and he had me going round till exit #20 etc ... I learnt a lot, fast! I passed!!! I passed on Friday 13th May (which, as I type that I have just realised is DJ's birthday ... so thank you, for asking!) 1981, a month before I was 20.
