Saw this on debris4spike 's journal and asked her to give me some questions.


1. I asked slaymesoftly, and I'm going to ask you -
if you could get taken back in time, when would it be?
And would it be to see an event, or just to see "normal" life?

2. If you could go to the Concert/Gig of anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

3. Have you ever seen Gone With The Wind? If so, more than once?
And, if so ... does Scarlet get Rhett back?

4. Who are your second and third favourite characters on Vampire Diaries
(I'm presuming that I know #1!!)

5. What would your own slogan for Texas be?

If any of those are ones you don't like - just ask and I'll think of something else.

1. If you could get taken back in time, when would it be?
And would it be to see an event, or just to see "normal" life?

I wish I could have attended Live Aid 13 July 1985 at
Wembley Stadium.  The event was amazing.
To see it live would be a dream come true.
 

2. If you could go to the Concert/Gig of
anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

Queen because Freddy Mercury was a gifted artist.
I tried to put a video here, but LJ is being wonky.


3. Have you ever seen Gone With The Wind? If so, more than once?
And, if so ... does Scarlet get Rhett back?

I've seen Gone With The Wind so many times.  It's shown here on
TV at least once a year.

At the end of the original movie, Scarlet is on her own.   She is digging
in the dirt to find food. It's an emotional scene with a very famous quote.

"As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me.
I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again.
No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill.
As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again."

There was a sequel to the book and a mini series based on it. 
It was written by Alexandria Ripley and called "Scarlett".
The story led Scarlett to leave Tara and go to Ireland. 
Rhett and Scarlett do find each other again in the story,
but I've never read or seen the mini series. The book and
the TV mini series were not well received by fans or the critics.


4. Who are your second and third favourite characters on Vampire Diaries
(I'm presuming that I know #1!!)

Second would be Caroline. At first, I saw her as a Harmony type. The when
she became a vampire, I really began to adore her.  She has more depth as
a vampire. She is confused, but really tries to be a good friend and help
others.

Third? That ones much more difficult.  I think it would be  Katherine. I just 
find her more interesting than Elena.  She is as evil as they come and evil
characters are always fun.  After seeing how she became a vampire and the
pain she showed finding her family slain, made her more interesting to me.      

4. What would your own slogan for Texas be?

Texas...Welcome to our bit of heaven.
             Land of big hair, big attitudes,
             and the friendliest people in the world.

Yes, saw some of the Live Aid concert on TV - what a brilliant choice.

Queen are a great group - together super, but have managed to keep up the performance levels simce.

You didn't say whether you thought Scarlet would go and look for Rhett? That last scene is an epic end to a marvellous film (and book) ... I have read Scarlett .... just wondered what your ending would be!

Caroline is great - like you I think when she died she "came alive" as a character ... that 3rd is a hard question!!!!

I guess I misunderstood your question about Scarlett. I thought you meant in the book or movie. Frankly, my dear, I wanted Scarlett to become her own woman, strong and successful without depending on a man. Then if they found each other again, they could meet as equals and burn up the screen with their fire.

That is the way I want it to go - I want them both to discover their own strengths .... and then, wouldn't that be an unstoppable fire!

You gave some great answers to those questions. To be at Wembley during the Live Aid concert would have been so memorable, like that choice.

I agree with you on the characters from the Vampire Diaries. Great comparison between Carolyn and Harmony when the series started but she has developed a much more caring character since she died. A bit dubious on Katherine but the real pain she's shown after finding her family murdered has warmth me up a bit in her favour.

I grew more found of Caroline as well after she turned. As a human, she was boring to me but as a vampire she blossomed into herself. Katherine is also another great character. She is so much fun.

I'm not going to ask for questions because I have some that I still have to answer from Strikske.

Robert took me to Wallyworld tonight before it got dark. Had to get a few groceries. Their parking lot was pure ice. Dogs do not want to go out till they can't wait any longer. Max goes out better than Athena. She really hates the icy mess.
