I'm not a writer of sex scenes.  I do read them.
I've always said women write better m/m sex scenes.
So I took this quiz and got 8 correct out of 10.
Interested to see how my flist (many who do write sex
scenes both m/m and f/m) do on this quiz.

Women do write much better gay sex scenes then men do. Personally I think women are better writes in general. I've read some male authors who are good but I do prefer a female author.

BTW I got 5 out of 10.

I think women are more aware of their feelings and willing to go beyond the norm.

ROFL - I couldn't get past the first three! Dear God in Heaven! This is why I don't read much pwp, or skim the sex scenes in most fic.

I do think women write better sex scenes than men do (as a rule). And I think they write better m/m scenes. However, I'm speaking as a woman (I believe most writers and readers of m/m sex are also women), and I don't know that I can say that opinion would hold up for male readers. If men write a certain way, wouldn't it be because that's what appeals to them?
ETA: That seems more charitable than just calling them poorer writers... Although that may be true also. ;)

I didn't really read each bit. I skimmed for the wording and figured out which wrote what. Men word things differently than women do. As for women writing better m/m, my BFF is a gay male and he loves reading m/m written by women. Says women write much better than men do in m/m slash.

Me...I've just read so much I know how the words flow when women write them.
