ernest borgnine
One of the saddest things about growing up is losing all the wonderful
actors you've enjoyed all your life.  Last year at Dragon*Con, I got to see
Ernest Borgnine.  He came walking through the hallway laughing and
talking to everyone.  He will be missed greatly.

The Associated Press reports that veteran actor Ernest Borgnine has died at 95.

Borgnine's most famous roles include Quinton McHale on the TV series McHale's Navy,
and the titular role in Marty, for which he earned an Academy Award in 1955. He also starred
in The Wild Bunch, The Poseidon Adventure, and Bad Day at Black Rock.

Borgnine frequently worked in TV, making guest appearances on several shows, and earning
an Emmy nomination at 92 for his work on ER. Younger audiences may recognize him as the
voice of Mermaid Man on Sponge Bob SquarePants.

Andy Griffith last week and now this. It makes me very sad.

He was so full of life when we saw him last year. Jolly and upbeat. He had a wonderful career and made so many fans happy. Bless him and remember him always.

Yes it's very sad, but he seemed to really enjoy life. He had an amazing career and many loving fans. We were lucky to have been able to see him last year.

What I will always remember about Ernest Borgnine is that he had the most wonderful laugh and a smile as big as the world.

We were so lucky to have lived to see his work, don't you think?

He was a great talent. I was honored to see him in person just a few months ago. He was laughing and talking with his fans.

He was so talented in comedy, but he could do dark just as well which, to me, shows real talent.

It so sad that many of the greats of Hollywood are reaching this age so we know it won't be long before we lose them. The Golden Years of Hollywood are being lost.

He was a real actor. Not just some pretty face that brought him a career. He was amazing.

One of the saddest things about growing up is losing all the wonderful actors you've enjoyed all your life. Sad but true.
Do you think an actor these days wouldn't have made his teeth so he had no gap between them? S they look all alike. Make him something special (don't know how to express it better).
So sad to see him gone now.

I'm always surprised when I see an actor these days with less than perfect teeth/hair/whatever. All the actors today seem to be plastic dolls. The Golden Age of Hollywood had many actors who were not perfect, but could act. These days most of the current crop are boring to me. I like individuals who are talented instead of pretty.
