Birthday Surprises

My birthday was Aug. 18th. I found many
delightful prezzies bestowed on me by
my wonderful friends.

debris4spike made these for me.

  

She loves Spuffy just as much as I do.

piggy1 and I go way back before LJ.
We met on a movie blog site.  She is so
very talented and an amazing friend.



She knows just what I love. LOL!

comlodge and I have known each other for a very short time.
Her talent seems endless.  Art, drabbles, and longer stories.







I'm a member of nekid_spike where the
talented ash_carpenter created this for
all the August members.



I was sent a great story by spikes_evilbint
from  her original published works.

rivertempest and  ssddgr sent me email
birthday wishes.

slaymesoftly and blondebitz sent me
virtual gifts that make my profile page shiny.

jaded_jamie made me a Dr Who video
which I loved.

cordykitten included me in one of her
birthday posts.

darkgoddessgege, my fellow Texan
sent me birthday wishes on LJ.

edenskye gave me a ticket for our
local con in Oct.  Everyday he gives
me the treasured gift of being my friend.

Hugs and kisses to everyone who made
my birthday so much better.

As I told piggy1 above, I wish both edenskye and I could travel so we could visit all our friends. We have made the best online buddies since we joined LJ. I treasure each and every one. I miss all those who have drifted away from LJ.

Yes it is sad a few people who have drifted away ... I suppose RL has taken over. Sadly soe just seem to be on FB ... so I stick here, love my special friends, and make an effort to update more about me, rather than just icons etc.

We lost so many of our flist. woman_of_ and allchoseny just disappeared. rivertempest writes in a different fandom now. I miss her, but do email back and forth. So many others have moved onto original fiction. Many took down their Spuffy works to redo them. I miss dawnofme, ssddgr and mabel_marsters so very much. Not just for their fan fiction, but because they were such good friends. I still hear from them once in awhile, but it's not the same.

Yes - I miss mabel_marsters and dawnofme ... although I think it's my fault Mabel went, as I am writing another fic and she was meant to be Beta'ing it ... must have scared her away LOL

I do sometimes wonder what happens to people - like AllChoseny, who just went.

I was sad to read of louise39's death over the weekend ... but at least we were kept updated during her illness.

Oh well, mustn't get down ... just remember the good friends I have.

I know that Mabel is writing original fiction now. She has been published right here in TX. I still talk to her via email off and on.

AllChoseny had some RL problems that caused her to leave. I spoke to her by email and suddenly she just disappeared. She closed her journal and stop answering emails. I miss her so. She was such a lovely friend.

Sadly I wasn't aware that louise39 was ill since we were not on the same flist. I remember her from other flist comments. She seemed a wonderful person.

Yes, Louise was lovely - and had been ill for over a year, but her husband had updated every couple of months. So, at last she is at rest. But will be missed.

I only knew AllC via LJ so was sad when she just deleted her account.

I knew Mabel was trying to get work done, but hadn't actually heard she had managed - good for her, as her work was great.

I think Dawn just probably had a growing busy family and RL took over!!
