I tried to read a story with that ship and couldn't. It just freaked me out.

Spuffy? Well, yeah. I hated how Buffy acted on the show. I wanted to slap her on the show when it came to how she treated Spike. Fan Fiction makes me like her better.

I agree with James on Buffy and Spike. Here are a couple of quote from James:

What do you think Buffy and Spike did that last night together?
I think Buffy tried to sleep with Spike but Spike wouldn't have her. He really didn't trust her. He said they should just be friends. (laughs!)

If you could say one thing to Spike, give him a piece of advice, and/or converse with him about anything... what would you choose and why?

Mmm - that last night on Chosen - Hard to know. When I saw the show, I had only watched a few episodes, so thought they would sleep together - having not seen season 6 ... then watching the whole selection, I think I agree with James.

I have read fics from both points of view ... Hard to know.

I am a Spuffy 101% of the time fan - but for me, Buffy has got to learn the lesson of love. She has to lose Spike to discover who he was ... to carry on from the end of Chosen (or even after mid-season 6) she has to be pulled apart, and be willing to give herself to Spike completely - That is what he deserves. So, James, I only 1/2 agree with you (shock, horror, Deborah!!)

LOL. James has a whole different view than Spike would. James thinks a bit more of himself than Spike did. Spike was the kicked puppy who still licked the hand of his abuser.

Yes, it's why I love fan fiction more than the comics. In fan fiction, Buffy grow up and realizes what's real. Buffy in canon had too many issues that prevented her from loving Spike the way he deserved. In fan fiction, she gets past caring about other peoples' opinions and making everyone else happy.

Riley and Spike is just wrong. But I could really top that. I knew someone who shipped Dopplegang Buffy and Buffy. Now that's odd. I didn't remember until after I posted my meme. I'm not that big on slash anyway (unless you're talking about the guitarist lol) but there are a few slash ships I don't mind.

Honestly I think Xander and Spike is kinda yucky too, but only cause Spike is waaaaay too hot for Xander. And Xander just looks like he smells like toe cheese *shrugs*

But I have to disagree with JM on his thoughts about their last nite.... if Buffy wanted to sleep with Spike, I think he would have. He was crazy about her. Plus, he's a guy. Soul or no Soul they all think with one thing.

Never saw the story of Doppelganger Buffy and Buffy. Was the Buffy from the world where Cordy wished Buffy had never come to Sunnydale?

I don't read F/F slash. Xander in fan fiction is different than canon Xander. whichclothes writes a great Spander. He's grown up, realized a few thngs and isn't hateful toward Spike. He got past the evil dead guy thing and sees Spike for who he is. So it's kind of like how Buffy is different in fan fiction.

My theory of Buffy and Spike's last night was all about just holding each other. I don't think if they had made love, Buffy would have been able to leave Spike in the Hellmouth. I always felt she realized at that last moment as things were coming down around them that she was losing him and how much she did love him. I always believed he did believe her words, but realized he needed to push her away to save her. I remember how he told her the night of them being close terrified him. I think he knew he was going to end up dying to save her and if they had made love it would have been more difficult for him to send her away at the end.

You do have some great ships. Although Spike/ Dawn is a little oogy to me. I guess I see her still at 15.

I've read a couple Spawn stories. Some were really lovely and sweet romances in all human or Buffy never came back so they got together. Read one where Dawn was jealous of how Spike felt about Buffy and she more or less kidnapped him and molested him.

Besides YOU read Spike/Riley, so don't talk to me about oogy. Makes me want to wash my brain and poke out my eyes.
