Saw this meme floating around my flist, but sort of avoided it. Then my sweetie,edenskye  , posted it. I caved and did it. I think I did it a while back, but not sure. So if you want to play leave me a comment. If you don't want to post it in your journal, it's okay. Not like I'm going to show up at your house with a gun or something.

I was encouraged by mabel_marsters to join LJ. She said to check her flist and ask them to friend me.
Your name was the first one I selected and it was a wise choice. We seem to mesh so well.

Of course, James is the main thing. Second is your faith. London Town is the song. We both love green. Many a photo of James, but also the lovely photos from your personal life like Jiffy, your family, your mum's garden, and DJ. A word I think of about you is real. You are so real in how you post about your feelings.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
How wonderfully sweet and welcoming you are.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
We often have very similar answers on memes.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
This is a hard question. You are so open that there is little I might wonder about you. Okay, who taught you to drive?

6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
That's a difficult question because I love all of them.

Just realised that I forgot to answer the question - can I still blame JamesFog????

Driving -
I learnt to drive when I was 19/20 .... in England we ususally learn at 17, but I lived in London and didn't see the point!
Mum took me out for my first ever drive, round local roads (!) ... then I had 2 driving instructors.
1) Collin - nice guy, taught me to drive ... I failed my test. Went to a re-take, and the day before he phoned up and cancelled ... so I met
2) Burt - older brusque guy ... and failed the 2nd test. I then had 4 lessons with Burt and he taught me roadmanship. 1 lesson was just spent going round a roundabout - a 7 exit one! - 3 of which were dual carriageways - and he had me going round till exit #20 etc ... I learnt a lot, fast!
I passed!!! I passed on Friday 13th May (which, as I type that I have just realised is DJ's birthday ... so thank you, for asking!) 1981, a month before I was 20.

Oh, I live in a JamesFog. LOL.

I was pushed to get my drivers license at 14. My mom didn't drive. My dad worked away from home so was only home two weekends a month. My brother left home when I was 13. So it fell to me to be the driver in the family. At that time in TX, you could take driver's ed at 14. I had a horrible teacher who was the football coach. He gave us the wrong answer for one question on our written so none of us got 100% on it. I got to drive one time through town. The only other practice we got was driving around the parking area of the football field. Was behind the wheel about 15 hours total before the test. I couldn't parallel park for anything so failed the test twice. We had a huge car to test in so that didn't help. My friend's dad was the other teacher. He helped me and let me use the smaller car from his class so I passed. I got my license a month before my fifteen birthday. I was way too young to be driving.

When my youngest son took driver's ed and got his beginner license, I made him drive everywhere we went. He passed the first time. His dad once told me that the son drove just like me. He didn't mean it like a compliment believe me. LOL.

I had seen your name in comments on debris4spike and then Tommy mentioned you. I had considered asking you to friend me, but then you sent me a friend request. I've really enjoyed your posts and friendship so it was a good thing.

Fandom would have to be Dr Who. Epic win, FTW, rant, and fail would be some of the words that come to mind when I think of you because you use them in such funny posts.

Have you ever been tempted to write a Mary Sue character?

Answer: No. Only because I write in the BTVS verse I have never felt a desire to a part of the show. Hell, I'd probably get bit by a vampire and die two days in (which is the death all Mary Sue's should have).

Now, if I wrote RPS, I'd definately be tempted to write a Mary Sue character. She'd meet James Marsters at one of the Cons, he'd fall madly in love with her and she'd just happen to be friends with lots of rich people who could fund movies for him to star in. Movies in which he would have to spend a lot of time shirtless. LOL! But I personally think that stories about real people are incredibly rude and very very wrong. So, you'll never see a Mary Sue story from me. LOL!

I can't even read RPS. It seems a bit like being a stalker. I didn't think you had ever written a Mary Sue character. It was just difficult to think of a question to ask.

I think many of us have fantasies of meeting James and he falls for us. We can always dream, can't we? Poor man. Wonder if he knows how we lust after him?

I'm glad you felt welcome. :D And thank you for the HUGE compliment about my writing, it's always nice to hear when people like my stories.

Is it difficult? Yes. Definitely. I had this one story idea and it was supposed to be a B/A fic but it took on a mind of it's own and it's now a B/S piece. It's not posted yet, cos I'm trying to finish my WIP's before I put new stuff up. A lot of the plots I come up with could go either way, and choosing which can be hard.

That Dawn icon of mine is my favourite. bloodytearslife made it for me. :D
